Simply wow...the experience we had was amazing. Jordan (server) had a great personality and was extremely attentive to our group of five "dance moms" that wanted to enjoy a night out without the kids.
In the moment I forgot to take pictures so I look forward to going back and recreating the experience to be able to take everyone on a culinary adventure...
Ok went back again and it was even better. I took my five year old and she loved brunch here and she ate the French toast like she hadn't eaten anything all week. -

We stopped in the Providence Oyster Bar for Sunday Brunch. It was a fantastic brunch offering bottomless mimosas and bloody marys. After a few mimosas, half a dozen oysters, and a few cherrystone clams it was time to move into the entree selection. I have a favorite spot in Newport for shell fish, a place in East Greenwich, a place in Wakefield, and it looks like I found a place in Providence.
My wife choose the avocado toast topper with smoked salmon. I decided on the lobster scramble. The lobster scramble was solid but I've been spoiled by the lobster scramble I had from the Ivy in Los Angeles, so anything after that seems average. My wife choose the avocado toast but said it wasn't anything special.
The drinks were good, and the oysters we're good. I would like to experience this place for Happy Hour. -

This place has a great appy your, but there's limited seating for it, so be sure to go early to get your fill!
Of the clams, the Littleneck variety was smaller than the Cherrystone one, but the Littleneck variety was also a lot saltier. I needed fresh water after that.
The Fox Island oysters were mostly satisfying, but there was sand in some of them, which was disappointing. The sand had me saying aww shucks.
Suggested eating order: Littleneck clam, Cherrystone clam, and then Fox Island oyster. Start with the saltiest, and then enjoy the other things.
The servers were friendly, but they weren't very attentive. It took forever to get their attention (e.g., to pay the bill). The person filling water, however, was super attentive! -

I am so glad we found this place on yelp! Wanted to grab a quick bite to eat before our drive back to NYC and I must say this was the best choice we could have made. They have a ridiculous "app-y hour" menu which consisted of about 12 different appetizers. We were expecting small plates, but the portions were extremely generous. Some standouts were the mussels, chicken wings in hoisin sauce, as well as their $1 oysters!! Everything was priced moderately including drinks. The service was excellent, although it did take a while for some of our food (there were two large parties), it was definitely worth the wait!

The best thing about this restaurant is the service. The hostess was awesome and so was the wait staff. I showed up late on a Sunday evening and they welcomed me. I should have ordered the raw oysters instead I had the oysters Rockefeller. They were huge oyster shells over flowing with spinach and cheese. After my second one I realized that I didn't taste any oyster. I started deconstructing the next one and found a tiny oyster under all the spinach. For dinner Ihad the cioppino. It was a huge bowl brimming with shellfish and two different kinds of fish. I am surprised I ate nearly the whole thing. I loved the bread. The crust was crunchy and bread light and fluffy. I had a New York sour to quench my thirst. Happy hour is 3-6:30. It has a large assortment of food for Happy Hour.
